In order for an interpreter to receive on-demand VRI assignments, you must first enable the notifications. Once you are logged in and notifications are enabled, the VRI Alerter will play a ringing sound when an On-Demand Request comes in.
Note that not all agencies have elected to offer on-demand services. If your agency works strictly on a pre-scheduled basis, this tutorial does not apply to you.
To get to the uSked VRI Alerter, log into your uSked account and navigate to: Assignments > uSked VRI Alerter.
Log in using your uSked username and password.
In order to take the call your notifications have to be enabled. If you missed how to enable them, head over here to learn how.
When ready to accept a call – click on the Request Next Call button.
If the message that appears says, “Call [xx] Awarded” then you have been assigned to a call.
If the message that appears says, “Call Not Awarded” then the request has been assigned to another interpreter.
